Public Speaking and Communications Bootcamp

Are you uncomfortable speaking in front of groups? Want to improve your ability to clearly and confidently express ideas?

Public speaking is a key leadership skill.  Yet, the thought of addressing groups of people makes many of us extremely nervous!   Whether you are a seasoned speaker wanting to tweak your delivery and make it outstanding, or a beginner hoping to gain confidence while presenting in front of groups, this session is for you.  Join us for a unique opportunity to learn (and practice!) how to speak with confidence, clarity and conviction.  While we all use email, faxes, websites, cell phones and voice mail these tools are no substitute for an engaging, persuasive, personal presentation and it is a skill you can learn and conquer.

This “Release Your Voice Bootcamp”, teaches you effective presentation design, relaxation techniques, and tools to control fear and anxiety. You learn– proper pronunciation, posture, pitch, tone, pace, and we take you to the next step. You learn to use non-verbal behavior and body language to subtlety and effectively influence your audience.  We help you understand the psychology of how to reach your target market and audience.  The Bootcamp promotes continuous involvement and contribution of all participants in an informal, relaxed learning environment. You are will be invited to learn and practice with encouragement and support, in order to gain a variety of new tools and the ability to more effectively communicate ideas in any situation.  You will leave this workshop invigorated and motivated to speak and communicate using your own personal style and personality.

THE COMBO

The "Combo" is a combination of the Bootcamp and Private Sessions. This way you get the best of both worlds. You will receive two private coaching sessions in which we focus entirely on you and your personal speaking goals and challenges. Then you’ll get to attend our Bootcamp, which gives you the opportunity to refine and develop your skills in a motivating and supportive environment. Here is what a participant of the last Bootcamp had to say:

“Pamela’s breadth of experience was clearly beneficial in helping me step into impromptu situations more easily and enjoyably. That’s fulfilling and lets me engage when I feel like it, and move with ease in any setting.”

The Bootcamp 2 is a continuance of the program and curriculum in the Bootcamp. This program builds on those skills. We discuss many advanced techniques like rhetorical devices, storytelling and the effective use and deployment of metaphor. You learn to establish the correct balance of techniques and a message. That's why an experienced speaker can cut through the fluff and procrastination and help you to produce a defining moment in your personal or professional life. You will also develop your presentation, not only the open, supporting information and close, but how do you want to structure that presentation based on your intent.

We will explore how to use paralanguage and True Colors so that participants will walk away knowing how to analyze, but not over-analyze an audience. The tool of storytelling will be developed and each participant will learn how to use the art of the story to enhance their presentations and meeting facilitation. The skill of speaking off the cuff will be an integral part of this program and each person will leave the course motivate d to deliver a prepared or impromptu speech or presentation.

The program will include:

  • Refreshing Your Skills
  • Video Taping and Feedback
  • Presentation Structure
  • Non-Verbal Tools
  • Using Paralanguage to influence your communication
  • Impromptu Speaking
  • Changing and Manipulating your voice

This one-day program is limited to graduates of the Bootcamp 1 or by permission of Pamela Hart and is limited to 6 participants. This is a hands-on workshop where each participant is given personal guidance and feedback.
